This handsome Pachypodium Aaundersii is rare houseplant and is very much sought after by collectors.
This unusual plant comes from Africa and is usually a small, shrubby bush. It can grow up to 1.5m tall!
Don't let the leafy appearance of this cactus houseplant fool you. It is covered in sharp thorns.
It is a very easy-care houseplant and will thrive with neglect. It's deciduous and loses its leaves in winter - don't panic if they start to drop off. At this point, cut back on watering until the warmer weather returns. Water only when the soil is dry and do not let the plant stand in water.
Pop your Pachypodium saundersii in partial to full sun with a minimum of three hours direct sunlight per day. Warm and bright afternoon sun is best.
PLANT FACT: Pachypodium means ‘thick foot', referring to the large, swollen caudiciform stems this plant has.
