This cute String of Hearts is a succulent type vine plant.
It's native to South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. It's a great, fast-growing and rewarding plant that is perfect for beginners or those with a busy life.
You can pop this little hanging houseplant pretty much anywhere in the home and then forget about it for a while. Perfect.
It was first discovered by John Medley Wood in 1881. Wood sent a sample of the plant to Kew Garden in 1894, when they named the plant in his honour. Woodii - literally means Wood's Plant.
These guys are drought tolerant and prefer being in dry soil. Let the soil dry out completely before watering. If possible allow the plant to 'bottom chug'. This is where you pop the plant in a saucer of water and allow it to soak up the water from the bottom. Watering on the top of the soil can cause the stems and leaves to rot.
Bright, in-direct light. Too little light will result in leggy stems. The correct light levels will give your plant vines with lots of lovely leaves.
Quick to grow and will benefit from a prune on a regular basis.
Great on a shelf or in a Macramé hanger in any room.
Delivered in 8cm plastic nursery pot.
