Gymnocalycium mihanovichii is a miniature cactus. It grows to a height of 4cm and a width of 6cm.
It comes from South America and is not often seen in its native form. They're normally starved of chlorophyll to exposing the red, orange, or yellow pigmentation in the plant. Before grafting it onto the stem of another cactus to make what is known as a 'moon cactus'.
The cactus in its natural state regularly produces flowers. these flowers never open fully, and have a silky texture to them. "
Needs moderate watering in summer months, and cut back in the winter. Place in a nice bright, sunny spot. Slow to grow and will remain compact.
