Ficus Lyrata is also known as the Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree of FLF if you're really cool.
This gorgeous houseplant has large, thick, oval shaped, leathery leaves similar to those of Ficus elastica or Rubber Tree Plant. They come from the same plant family, so it's not surprising they have similarities. What makes this ficus super special is the pale pink-green veins running through the dark green leaves.
In their natural tropical habitat, Fiddle Leaf Figs can grow to over 30m tall with a spread of 200m and are some of the largest canopy trees in the world.
BUT - don't worry, you can manage the size of you little plant with it's pot size. Pot-up if you want it to grow bigger, or keep it in a small pot to constrain its size.
Water when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil moist at all times, but do not over water as this will cause leaf drop. Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate partial shade. Direct sunlight may burn the leaves.
Delivered in a 11cm plastic pot.
