Pachypodium geayi also known as a Madagascar Palm.
It's a succulent shrub or small tree with thick, thorny stems bearing a cluster of narrow leaves near the top. As this guy grows it will drop leaves as they grow taller - but that's OK. They're supposed to do that.

As your succulent tree grows taller you will find it will expose its trunk and have just a tuft of leaves on the top.

If Madagascar Palms are happy and healthy, they will grow about 12 inches (30 cm) a year and will also bloom.

These guys are poisonous to pets - but only if they get to the sap inside.
Chances are they won't get past the prickles on this plant to be able to take much of the plant and ingest the sap.

Madagascar palms require bright light and fairly warm temperatures. Give the plant water when the surface soil is dry. Like many other plants, you can water less in the winter. Water just enough to keep the soil from drying out. This is an easy care house plant.

Delivered in a 12cm pot.

NOTE: due to the fragile nature of this plant, some leaves may drop off in transit. It's such a full plant, you won't even notice.
