Sansevieria are one of the most popular houseplants and with good reason - they thrive off of neglect! Great for those with busy lives, or who are just a little on the forgetful side.
The Black Diamond has a dark green leaf with subtle yellow edging.
These guys are also known as a 'bedroom plant' as they emit oxygen at night, whereas many plants actually stop this process come nightfall.
They also absorb excessive amounts of carbon monoxide and filter other toxins from the air such as benzene, xylene, trichloroethylene and formaldehyde. It's a super plant!!
Overwatering can cause this plant to rot. Make sure to allow the soil to dry in between waterings. Reduce watering down to once a month during the winter.
Sansevierias do best in indirect light. However, they will do fine in low light areas and can also withstand full sun.
The Snake Plant can grow up to four or five feet tall, though they are generally pretty slow growers.
Great in the bedroom, but will be fine in all other rooms in the house too. Try and avoid steamy bathrooms or kitchens though.
Toxic is eaten, causing; nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea.
