This gorgeous Ctenanthe is related to Maranta, Calathea, and Stromanthe.
All of which have stunning foliage.
They're sometimes known as Prayer Plants - as the leaves close upwards in a prayer-like way in the dark.
This Ctenanthe s Compactstar has silver leaves with a dark grey-green, herring-bone striped pattern, and purple undersides.
Place in bright, indirect light. Will tolerate some degree of shade; however insufficient light may cause loss of variegation in the leaves. Too much light on the other hand will cause the leaves to fade.
Keep soil moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering.
