Shake your pineapples and add a touch of the tropical to your home with this super cute Pygmy Pineapple Plant.
The fruit on this cool plant are the smaller, more bitter cousins of the pineapples you pick up from the supermarket. You can eat them, but you might regret it!
These Ananas plants will grow a single ornamental fruit at the centre of its foliage. When the pineapple drops off, it's unlikely to produce a new one, but you should get pups in the soil which you can re-pot and grow into whole new plants.
Pop it in indirect sunlight, and make sure it gets at least 4 hours of sunlight a day. Direct sunlight may burn the leaves.
Water when the stop layer feels almost dry, but don't let it dry out completely. Water directly onto the soil.
Mist the leaves from time to time to prevent them from drying out. If you get brown tips which is a sign that the air is too dry around it.
Delivered in a 12cm plastic pot.
