This Maranta Kerchoveana is gorgeous. Also known as a Prayer Plant. This leafy guy will close its leaves at night and re-open them again in the morning sunlight. You can hear this plant rustling as it moves...
It's why it has the name Prayer Plant, due to the fact that its leaves fold upward together at night, like praying hands.
Best kept in a bright, humid spot away from direct sun. Water frequently to keep the soil moist but not soggy. If using tap water it is best to leave it to stand for a couple of hours before using.
This pretty green plant is completely non-toxic for cats and dogs.
