This cacti has flat paddles and they're what gives it the name of Road Kill Cactus. It's a little unflattering as this cacti is gorgeous. Nothing like 'road kill'.
The pads on this plant are virtually spineless, making it a great option for those who fear the dreaded glochids.
This Opuntia will produce beautiful yellow-orange flowers during the summer if cared for correctly.
Water when the soil becomes dry and cut back in the winter months.
Place in a nice sunny spot, they're great on windowsills, shelves and desks.
Non-toxic to humans and pets, but be careful of glochids (the small spines on this cactus, which can irritate if touched).
