Sansevieria as a whole are flowering plants that are native to Africa, Madagascar and southern Asia. They've become a popular houseplant in recent years due to their hardiness and ability to grow in low light levels in the home.
Overwatering can cause this plant to rot. Make sure to allow the soil to dry in between waterings. Reduce watering down to once a month during the winter.
Sansevierias do best in indirect light. However, they will do fine in low light areas and can also withstand full sun.
The Snake Plant can grow up to four or five feet tall, though they are generally pretty slow growers.
Great in the bedroom, but will be fine in all other rooms in the house too. Try and avoid steamy bathrooms or kitchens though.
