This Schefflera is also known as an Umbrella Tree. It's branches form a little umbrella. It has been grown on porous Lava Rock. Making this plant a bit different to you normal houseplant. It will absorb water and nutrients directly from the stone. The rock has some exposed roots and moss forming. It makes a an interesting talking point.
Each plant is on a completely unique Lava Rock, which is attached to a sturdy black tray. No two plants and rock combination will be the same.
On arrival fill the tray half way with water. Ensure there is always water in the tray to prevent the lava rock from drying out. Where possible use distilled water, as tap water may turn the rock white over time due the lime in it.
Place in a semi-shaded spot.
Approx. 30cm tall, including lava rock. Tray is 17.5cm x 10cm x 2.5cm.
